Webster County Grand Jury
The Webster County Grand Jury was in session on April 8, 2014 and passed down the following indictments and decisions:
•Tommy Branson, 61 of Sebree, was indicted on charges of Attempted Murder (4 counts), a class B felony; Attempted Murder of a Police Officer, a class B felony; 2nd Degree Assault of a Police Officer, a class C felony; Tampering with Physical Evidence, a class D felony; 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment, a class D felony; and 1st Degree Fleeing/Evading, a class D felony.
•Neomi M. Deaton, 31 of Providence, was indicted on charges of Theft by Deceptions (under $10,000) (40 counts), a class D felony; and Theft by Deception (under $500) (8 counts), a class A misdemeanor.
•Douglas Melvin, 44 of Wheatcroft, was indicted on charges of Marijuana Possession, a class A misdemeanor; 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (2nd offense), a class D felony; and Possess/Buy Drug Paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
•Brandy Lynn Gobin, 37 of Clay, was indicted for 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, a class D felony.
•Sommer L. Owen, 27 of Marion, was indicted for 2nd Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, a class D felony (1-3 years).
Michael Sigler, 51 of Providence was indicted on charges of 1st Degree Disorderly Conduct, a class A misdemeanor; 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment (4 counts), a class D felony; and 2nd Degree Fleeing/Evading, a class A misdemeanor.
